Today\u2019s metalworking industry is a clean, high-tech world where smart computer programs and ultra-precise equipment take precedence over physical strength. This program is also an excellent fit for girls, since what matters here isn\u2019t physical strength, but logical thinking, design sense, and precision.  <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What exactly do you study and do?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3D Design and Software: You will learn <\/strong>to create precise 2D drawings and three-dimensional 3D models on a computer, as well as to write control programs for machines.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Smart CNC Machines<\/strong>: You&#8217;ll learn how to set up and program modern computer-controlled lathes and milling machines.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Laser and Plasma Cutting:<\/strong> You will learn how to cut sheet metal using CNC lasers and how to operate plasma and gas cutting equipment.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Art of Welding:<\/strong> Try Your Hand at MIG\/MAG, Manual Arc, and TIG Welding.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Measurement and Product Assembly: You will learn <\/strong>to read complex drawings and inspect products using modern measuring instruments.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Course Options:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Welding Work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Metal Cutting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is this major right for you?<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019re about to graduate from middle school and want to pursue a valuable field of study alongside your high school education. You enjoy computers, technology, and drafting, or you want to see your ideas turn into real things. You\u2019re detail-oriented and love logical thinking, and metalworking might be just the thing to make your eyes light up.  <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where to next?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a graduate of the Machine Tool Technology program, you will be a highly valued specialist in the machine and metalworking industries. You can work as a CNC machine operator or setter, a welder, or a metal fabricator. You can find work in both large industrial companies and smaller machining and manufacturing firms. You can also continue your studies and further specialize in the field.
