Business Administration Specialist

Form of study: Semester-Based Instruction

Prerequisites: Based on a secondary education

Duration of study: 2 years

A business administration specialist is the driving force behind a company—someone who understands how things really work, from product development and marketing to accounting and team management. This program will give you the broad-based knowledge and skills you need to manage the day-to-day operations of a small business, solve problems creatively, and participate successfully in teamwork.

Duration of Study: A comprehensive and diverse curriculum totaling 120 ECTS credits (lasting an average of 2 years).

  • Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service: You will learn to create marketing plans, carry out sales processes, develop new products, and communicate with customers (including resolving complaints and gathering feedback).
  • Organizing Production and Purchasing: You’ll learn how to plan the resources needed for production, organize logistics, select suppliers, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Team Management: You will learn how to set goals, plan activities, motivate employees, and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Accounting and Finance: You will be able to prepare source documents for accounting, budgets, and financial plans, and calculate the cost of goods and selling prices.
  • Digital Skills and Administrative Tasks: You use various computer programs, cloud services, and online platforms with ease in your work.
  • Real-world work experience: An integral part of the program is an extensive internship (30 ECTS credits) at a major company, where you will apply all the knowledge you have gained in school in a real-world work environment.

This broad-based program does not offer separate areas of specialization. However, you can choose 18 ECTS credits worth of exciting elective courses that align with your personal interests: for example, the basics of project work, innovation and creativity, employment contract law in practice, the legal foundations of consumer protection, or professional English and Russian.

  • A prerequisite for beginning studies is having completed secondary education.
  • This position is a good fit for you if you’re proactive, able to manage your work independently, solution-oriented, and enjoy communicating with others and working as part of a team.
  • The program is very flexible—it offers part-time study (session-based) and work-based learning (apprenticeship), which makes it easy to balance work and study.

The program concludes with a professional examination, which includes the presentation and defense of a personal e-portfolio before a committee. Upon successful completion, you will earn a Level 5 Business Administration Specialist certification and will be ready to work as a highly regarded specialist or manager in various companies—or even start your own business.
